 Welcome to

Using Wikis for Project Management

After taking this workshop, you too will be convinced that wikis are the first computer supported collaboration tool you’ll actually use. You will be guided through the maze of computer supported collaborative work (CSCW), communities of practice (CoPs), and the open source movement in a lively, interactive session led by two presenters with extensive experience using wikis for project management for exhibitions, questionnaire development, and other collaborative tasks for visitor studies. They will make the case for wikis as a practical and affordable Web 2.0 technology, which non-profit organizations can easily integrate to meet visitor studies demands. You will be introduced to the many benefits of wikis for file management, collaboration at a distance, and the dissemination of information to both internal and external stakeholders on any type of project. You will also have a hands-on opportunity to broaden your familiarity, knowledge and skill level with wikis.
